Platform information can go out of date
Character limits and text filtering rules come from each platform's own documentation and are checked on the review date shown at the bottom of each page. Platforms change these without announcing them, and some are tested with a subset of users before rolling out.
Treat the numbers here as accurate at the time of review, not as a guarantee. The generator's live counter tells you the length of your actual text, which is the part we can be certain about.
Rendering varies and we cannot control it
The output is standard Unicode. How it is drawn depends on the operating system, the app and the font in use. The same string legitimately looks different on iOS, Android and Windows, and different again inside Instagram or Discord.
Empty boxes or misaligned marks on your device are a font coverage issue there, not an error in the text. Preview on the device that matters to you before committing to anything.
This is not a hacking tool
Despite the name of one of the pages, nothing here hacks anything. The hacked text generator produces a visual effect using ordinary characters. It grants no access, exploits nothing, and bypasses no security.
It will not get you past a moderation filter
This one matters. Using combining marks to disguise words a platform blocks is filter evasion. Modern platforms normalize text before matching, so it rarely works, and being caught is treated as a serious violation.
We do not support that use and will not help with it. Accounts lost that way are not our responsibility.
Accessibility warning
Glitch text is genuinely difficult for people using screen readers, because assistive software announces combining marks it cannot fold into a recognized character individually. A short cursed phrase can become a long stream of accent names.
Use it as decoration. Do not use it for navigation, headings, contact details, alt text, or anything a person needs to read in order to use your page.
Very heavy output can misbehave
Extremely long, maximum-intensity strings have historically caused problems in some applications, including crashes in older versions of Apple Messages. Modern software handles it far better, but stacking is still expensive to render and can slow an older device.
Sending large volumes of it to someone deliberately is a form of harassment, and it is covered under the terms of use.
